Then why didn't the rest of the world stop us from overthrowing the governments of two countries in the last 15 years and killing their leaders? Sounds worse than what Putin has done so far.

Seriously, let me ask you this. What is their to gain for Russia to piss off the EU and the US.

Everyone seems to be forgetting that this world, and the world in 1930s pre-WWII are vastly different. We are so globally connected that it makes no sense to ostracize yourself.

Maybe because it did the world a service, regardless of their dependence on the oil coming out of Iraq?
