Simple fix. If you don't pay taxes, you can't vote! If you completely depend on the government to provide for your family, you can't vote! If you are a criminal in jail, you can't vote! If you can't spell your name or the state you live in; if you can't name at least one of your states Congressmen or Senators, you can't vote! As a matter of fact, if you don't have a High School diploma, you can't vote!
That should just about fix the problem of people like Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid getting elected into office!

Nice narrative, but we all know this is not true. If the only people who voted D where ignorant non-tax payers who are on welfare and sucking the govt tit, and the R's got the vote from all the tax payers, the R's would have won the election in an absolute landslide.
The whole "OMG takers now out number the makers which is why D's win" meme is such bologna, and anybody with a modicum of objectivity knows this.

So hard-working college students on grants, loans, or scholarships--who will soon be productive members of society--should not be able to vote on issues that will directly affect them and their future?

I've spelled out once before why this is an impossibly ignorant idea. It sounds good on the surface but I'm sure you just haven't thought it through. Can you see the downside to this?
