That's a lot of work to see if the Applebee's you frequent is closed. Just go to another one in br.

Thanks Einstein. Obviously, you missed the part where I said that I'd never eaten there.

Well I've never heard of El Paso Mexican Grills but I'd be willing to bet its along the lines of an Applebee's type?
They're not a national chain, but do have six locations in LA. They have slightly above average Mexican food (FAR better than Casa la Vida just down the road on Coursey), but nothing overly authentic because they don't serve lengua for instance, so it's not like a hole in the wall place where no English is spoken with strictly Hispanic clientele, but the food isn't bad. Sometimes I'll simply enjoy 2 fer 1 margaritas on their patio. Not sure if they'll build a patio at the BR location however. They have a larger than normal menu, and the seafood dishes aren't too shabby.

I think they may be in for a rude awakening though, because as you may remember, Duang Tawan USED to be a Mexican restaurant, but it didn't make it in that location.

Next time I talk with the owner, I'll report back with a timetable as to when they will be opening.
