Bress definitely isn't to blame. But his contract did make it tougher to put talent around him like it would anywhere else a QB gets a payday. It's a obstacle every team with a good QB has to face. The Patriots had to, the Packers had to and the Seahawks and 49ers will eventually have to. I say we've done a decent job of working around his contract. But this year is the real test imo as we're making bolder moves.

Has it? We have 2 highly paid guards and keep bringing in free agent after free agent.

Obviously playing for the league minimum would allow us more free agents, but we've done very well in free agency
