They had a pretty bad reputation back in the 1990's and early 2000's- the Wranglers were easy to work on, which was nice since they broke down alot.

I bought my 2006 used in 2006 with 13,000 miles, and since then, it's been oil changes, tire rotations and batteries, with the exception of the clock spring & water pump. If you can get one with 40,000 or less, like these, you'll get a lot of good miles
