Between that and the corn, it's going to be hard not to hunt it in the fall. I've flushed a pair of wood ducks out of there a few times.

But seriously, when the water level drops around mid summer, it might not hurt to scatter a little seed rice around the edges. I think the cows would eat it though when it comes up green.
