This and it sucked big time. Shut down 5 stores that I know of. I and many more were like Stadium Rat, been going there for 40+ years. 3/$1 tacos were the titties. I would get $10 or $20 worth and pass around to the baseball team back in the day when the kids played youth ball.


Man I miss that place and hate that fricker for messing it up. Open one day, and a sign on the door the next.

The local franchisee had five stores at one time:

Kenner
Metairie
Westbank
Slidell
UNO

I think Katrina may have been the cause of the Slidell location. Not sure about the others.

The tax problems were confined to 10 stores in Kansas - it was state tax that was the issue. Wikipedia says there were 36 stores as of 2012, so the chain was still viable and it probably still is. We can only hope.
