Oops, still why would you do such a thing?

ETA: OK, looking back, you didn't start the thread, but you were certainly upset that wiki looked at your page and even suggested that TD was hacked. Then deleted your LinkedIn account. So, I wasn't far off. Why the drastic change?

If you recall another poster threatened to post personal info about me. It was a sort of blackmail or intimidation attempt on his part.

So I just went ahead and posted my name, my cell phone number and my email address to show him I have no fricks to give about his threat.

BTW, he has not posted on TD since that last post of his threatening me.

I'm not sure what "drastic change" you're referring to.

I deleted my LinkedIn account because I never used it. I had created the account years ago as a result of a friend urging me to do so. All it did, IMO, was create a way for people I don't know and don't want to know to send me emails asking me to buy crap from them or hire them at my company or give them an employment reference.

For me, it was a waste of time so I deleted it. I'm still getting emails from unknowns asking me to connect with them on LinkedIn so I'm not sure how long it takes for the deleted account to go into effect.

ETA: I also learned from that thread on the Help Board that LinkedIn somehow uses cookies on a user's computer to send some of those emails. So apparently cookies from visits to TigerDroppings are matched with cookies on other posters' PCs to pair up LinkedIn members which results in LinkedIn sending out those spam emails. That explained many of the emails I got from people who I have no clue who they are. And don't want to know who they are. Hence, my canceling my LI account.
