Most high schools scale the GPA for AP courses taken. So if you get an A in an AP class, it counts as more than 4... I forget the actual number?

OP -Have your friend contact the admission department. With grades like that, her out of state will get waived for sure. Get the ACT over 30 and I would bet on a full ride.

Pretty sure LSU doesn't recognize the weighted score though.

The Honors college gives it's own weighted score to the weighted score though.
