TIA. Thinking about picking up a few shares.

Should have bought when it was $5.
Depends. Long term or Short term? Do you think we're in a bubble and can buy for cheaper later? For what purpose?

This is very long term. Supposedly, bank stress tests are later this month.

This is very long term

I've owned it before and did very well.
When I first opened Roth IRAs for my wife and myself (2011), I used my IRA to pick out 10 Stocks and my wife's for a few mutual funds. But that was when I could keep an eye on things, not too look for something "better" but to make sure the stocks I had were still solid. But since last year, I couldn't rely on myself anymore to watch them so I moved mine to mutual funds as well (for the most part).

Long term is not a buy, IMO. There are much better banks out there that won't have to get chopped into 100 pieces at some point.

Banks were just forced to eat each other up and you think BoA is going to be pulled apart?

The vast majority of gobbling by BOA was before the crash.
However, I'm more talking about the non retail and commercial arms of BOA.
