not saying we are but you might see a nice chunk of real estate bought up in downtown Tampa by the Forum within the next 5-7 years

5-7 years just to buy the land for a new stadium? Plus however long it takes to get funding passed and construction time, it could be 10 years before Tampa builds a new stadium.

The Trop is a dump NOW. If the city of Tampa and the owners don't have plans in the works already, I wouldn't expect the Rays to be around for another 10 years.

Before I came to the Trop all I heard about was how it's a dump. I know its not PNC or Citizen's Bank but the Trop serves it purpose. Your going to watch baseball. BTW the Rays are currently pushing Rays 360 where now you can walk around the lower bowl from the inside concourse. Completely renovating the Batter's Eye with a huge bar and many tvs. Should be really nice once completed. The one thing that upsets me about the Trop is the AstroTurf. It's not in great condition and that's because we host tons of events in the off season and constant load in and load out wears it down. We have the TBT* Boat Show this weekend then we're done for 3 weeks so we can finish up all the construction in the bowl and field maintenance and we will be ready for Opening Day on March 31st.

EDIT*

There are alot of hurdles the Rays are trying to jump through to get out of the lease with the Trop that runs through 2022. The year might be slightly off but it's close. Either way the new mayor of Pinellas County really wants to get this ball rolling and is actively pushing for this to happen.
