The half of me that loves rights is supremely in support of this.

The half of me that thinks about the law wonders how bad it's going to get for some of these farmers who provide raw milk. Insurance is going to sky rocket, and I bet they get sued for every cold someone gets after consuming raw milk.

So, hooray freedom! They don't know what they're in for.

Yes, this is obviously an issue - insurance and regulation that comes along with it. It is a lot of work to milk cows. It takes me 45 minutes to milk two cows in the morning and then again in the evening. There's no way that I could sell a gallon of milk for what the stores are selling it for and break even, but then again, it is a different product and would need to be priced accordingly.

For the small farmer like me, it would be sorta like the Blue Bell ice cream philosophy - "We eat all we can and sell the rest!" It would be primarily sold to a few friends, family, and neighbors. I'd like to say they'd never sue you, but I'd be wrong

Maybe you can be kind enough to write up a form to have these raw milk farmers indemnified by their customers?

I bet they don't.

Producing raw milk is no doubt safer than it was before it was banned. Technology like refrigeration has improved. I'm all for it so long as the consumer can easily distinguish which is raw and which isn't.
