Nola has quantity over quality.

Some people make it seem like there is a big difference between Nola and Parish. I'm not so sure about that. Looking at the lineup:

Stout- Nola has several good ones

Wheat- pretty close between canebreak and 7th st

Amber/Red ale- pretty close between southcoast and flambeau red.

Brown- Nola's brown is descent.Their breakfast brown at the tap room is good also. Parish doesn't make any.

Blond- don't really care for blonde's

Pale Ale- parish with envie. Nola only produced one in their tap room.

IPA- can you compare hopitoulas to farmhouse IPA, different styles I would assume.

DIPA- clear winner seems to be GITM. People say mechahopzilla is much better on tap than in the can. Can't say that I'm a DIPA fan yet. May try GITM this weekend at Avenue.

Barleywine- parish with Grand Reserve which is really good.

Black IPA- Parish with Dr. hopitgon

Besides the regular lineup, Nola makes plenty one offs and experiments with their lineup. Some of their experimental beers at the tap room are really good. Personally I like both breweries and would say with what they do they are pretty close. I do wish Nola would bottle some of their experimental beers from time to time.

Amber/Red ale- southcoast < flambeau red.
DIPA- GITM > mechahopzilla

ETA: Overall, I take parish. Look forward to an Imperial Stout from them one day. I know they'll do it right.
