As a fan of the national team and one that plans days around matches, I couldn't help but be disappointed once again in a performance.
Yesterday was a disaster. Not one person earned a spot in Brasil, except for the performance of two subs.
However, I can whole heartily agree with this:
and this:
But, I am doubtful that Jones and Bradley will switch roles.
The only thing we have going for us in the WC is the order of the matches played.
Take 3 from Ghana, and 1 from Portugal, and we are most likely into the final 16.

If Jurgen plays our best backline, Cam-Omar-Besler-Fab, then I'll feel decent about our chances of getting out of the group. Cameron is one of the best RB's in the EPL, Besler is the best CB in the MLS and Fab at one point was one of the top LB's in the bundesliga. Omar is the enigma of the group, but if he gives us a performance like he did at the Azteca, we'll be alright.
and this:

As for the front 6, obviously Bradley and Jones are entrenched at the two CM's – that won't change unless for injuries. We just have to hope that Jermaine knows that he is at his best when he sits back to help the backline, allowing for Bradley to push up when on the attack. In a few games when they are the midfield pair, it's been the opposite.
But, I am doubtful that Jones and Bradley will switch roles.

Maybe if Jurgen draws our 4-2-3-1 up as a 4-1-3-2 or 4-1-3-1-1 then it will confuse Jermaine into staying more defensive in his positioning.
