Again don't like Bullock and I don't know why (probably should more)
I like her. Met her on the night f my bachelor party and tried to PIIHB. did not work out, but she seemed amused.

I spoke to her for like 3 minutes as Galatoire's at lunch one day. Just ran into her and some of her friends. She was very nice.
Limited actress, although there are some roles she can do well. The Oscar was sort of silly, though.

Talking about blindside? Yes. That was kind of ridiculous and not Oscar worthy. Plus I though he movie sucked and was very hokie. But I've had a thing for her since Love Potion No. 9.

I thought I was the only one.

It's not different from a lot of winners - she got the benefit of not only a good script, but a unique character on both cases. Forrest Whittaker got the same thing in Last King of Scotland. Tom Hanks in Philadelphia.
Now credit to them for carrying those roles out. But the roles themselves helped.
The harder route is turning playing average Joe into an oscar winner.

it was a role of a lifetime (much like DDL with Lincoln)

Almost as if the Oscars hates Sandra B.

Well of course the role did it for her. That's true with every award for acting. Should it be this way? Maybe. A role that shows a wider range of emotions is a better showcase of acting then basically one emotion of helplessness and fright. This will probably always win, as long as the actor/actress comes through in the part.
