Thanks. I assume that's a lipless crankbait? I was thinking I need to load up on them.

This lake is basically in my backyard. I have some very very hot spots but I dunno if I can let people in on it. I know for a fact Kevin van dam was all up in my main spot dang it.

Little tip for you. Ask around to find a place called south Saudi. That's not how its spelled but that's how it looks to me. In that area I'm pretty sure is where the champion caught all them lunkers.

Yes if you like catfish and what not go to top of the river. Very good. Cheap too. Also visit wintzells oyster house. Its decent also. But have fun and catch a lunker!!

Yea it is actually South Sauty. Right now when the bass are feeding on shad getting ready for the spawn the Alabama rig is the number 1 bait. It will wear you out fishing it all day though. Buddy had 30 lbs on 5 fish throwing one a few days ago.

I forgot to mention if you ask anyone about crappie fishing you can get by saying crappy but under no circumstance should you ask where the sac-a-lait are biting.

how many people you think are trying to fish that bridge today?

I'm guessing none with wind chills in the single digits and teens today.

I misread the OP. Sorry about that and good luck. Bass will be your best bet this time of year. Swimbaits over grass in 5-8 feet. Crappie on the causeways early and late on jig and minnow. 10 day shows temps in the 60's next week, that should really turn them on.

You will be about 30 minutes from Huntsville. Larry's is having a good sale right now. He also has lots of ammo. The SBE II listed is $1200.

Edit : sorry just noticed the sale ends on the 8th. If you tell the owner you are from out of town he would probably still honor it.

Holy chit! That's almost $100 less than I paid for my M&P .45!

Can I even purchase a handgun there being I'm from MS? I am looking for an M&P 9c or Shield 9.

You can buy a handgun but you will have to have it shipped. Look up some guys around where you live to do the transfer. Guys around me do it for $10.

Just curious on how your Guntersville trip turned out. Seemed like you had some good weather except for the wind.
