The reality is this. Healthcare costs will be with us as a nation no matter what we do or political position we take. And no matter what political party is in power, from here to eternity, the public (government) will be paying at least some significant portion of it. Does anyone here honestly believe that is not the case?

And the Space Shuttle is perfectly engineered and WILL fly back and forth to the Space Station.

VOR...the foundational premise of this whole altruistic vision is for responsible folk to pay for irresponsible folk, in many instances. How do you sell that reality, to the responsible folk who get the shaft? There is only one way, and that is to come down hard - I.e., make it criminal - for irresponsible folk to be health irresponsible. And that is herding cats on a degree that even a Space Shuttle is simple.

Now per the book "Abundance", we may be able to invent high tech that can mitigate the (irresponsible) behavior and choices of individuals, but like with the Green Tech, to try to impose an economically unviable, current tech paradigm of the Collective before such is viable...will only cause economic collapse, and probably shut down the whole thing.

The insane (Cloward-Piven/Community Organizer) strategy of Obama/Progs to overload this system, collapse it, and then the Government steps in to save the day...is one of the damndest gambits in the history of politics. Anybody even close to Katrina can know that.

They had better drop that egalitarian thing and get some serious minds on the health care issue before this whole credit thing goes south, and we end up back in caves or lean to's. Fool's gold.
