I will normally pan fry trout in butter with salt, pepper and thyme. That's it. Just a little butter and after a little lemon juice. The more simple the better.

Also will smoke it and put it in a dip with cream cheese, lemon juice, and dill.


And you can differentiate a trout from a char by its skin and spots.
Trout - light colored background and dark spots
Char - dark cores background and light spots.
