Insurance does not generally cover faulty work.

The CGL carriers are scrambling to get out of covering any of this. The damage due to faulty concrete raises a interesting coverage issue related to property damage. Performance bonds, breach of contract, insurance coverage, etc. This will be a freaking mess. One thing is of sho: the lawyers gon get paid.
