Nothing fishy about it. You will be a salesman peddling life insurance and other Northwestern Mutual financial products. You will be expected to hound your friends and family and gain referrals. I don't believe those kinds of companies provide leads. If that is what you want to do then go for it.

And run a few off in the process. I've got a guy I know who hounds me about meeting. I just avoid his calls, but he'll call from multiple different numbers. Next time I'm telling him to just stop.
