So? The party allegiances of the Civil War died hard in the South. What's your point?

That NPR is all too happy to label this guy through inference that this is your typical republican voter.

Did NPR go into the ghetto's and ask the guy on the street corner why he supports ACA and through inference demonstrate that this is your typical democrat voter? Probably not. They probably whet to some college professor for the ACA advocates side.

Did the story go down like this? Interview an uneducated cajun man born in the '40s that has the world experience of watching Popeye on channel 4 on Saturday mornings and shrimping in the marsh during the week who opposes ACA. Juxtaposed to a educated college professor (or college professor type) who advocates for ACA. The reporter got both sides of the story covered...all is fair.

I wouldn't say it died hard. You make it sound like the south was republican in the 20th century.
