and the kat hate begins

I haven't been interested in her since the auditions (and I wasn't really thrilled with the beginning of her audition), so I haven't gotten the love for her at all. She gets pitchy and her range is limited. She has great power and really gets into the song, but she has yet to strike me as being worthy of the tremendous amount of praise she gets.

The Playoffs Continue... again...

T.J. Wilkins singing "Tell me Something Good": Good sound during practice. Sounds just as good on-stage. He seemed nervous at first but then just before he got into the skatting part, he really got into the song and made it more fun. Very solid performance, great song choice for his voice as well.

Adam seems to be going to the "that's one of my favorite songs" well too often.

Melissa Jimenez singing "Halo": Interesting song, it could be really good for her but during practice her lower register sounded like crap on a stick. I still wasn't thrilled with "sound", I think she just went too low with it and it sounded bad because of that. The rest of the song was tight with some very impressive power moments, especially that really high set of tones she hit. Not sure if it will be enough to push her into the next round as there seemed to be some missed points, but that depends on her competition.

Stevie Jo singing "The Thrill Is Gone": I got so excited from hearing him say the song choice that I missed the first part of the practice lol! This could be a reeeeeally could choice for him. He seems to be rushing it here in the beginning. His performance is going from meh to incredible then back to meh. He seemed to lose his breath a bit around his power moment then spent had a hard time getting it back. He pulled it back in toward the end but still seemed a tiny bit off at the very, very end. He was incredibly into the song though, that may help get him into the next round.

Bria Kelly singing "Wild Horses": I. fricking. LOVE! When Women. Sing. This. Song. A little shaky at the beginning, but incredibly minor. She seems to have pitch issues with her vibrato, which is when she is singing softly. While she sounds awesome when belting the notes out, that issue will probably hurt her in the Lives. Those issues were at the beginning, but her strong finish and how into the song she got helps cover that issue. She should definitely make it into the Lives.

Josh Kaufman singing "It Will Rain": Sounded really good in the practice. fricking great performance. There's no way he doesn't make the Live shows with this. *drops mic and walks off*

My picks would be: TJ, Bria & Josh.

The picks of "Ush" are: Bria, Josh & TJ.

Good teams, well balanced. My picks at the moment are Christina, Sisaundra and possibly Josh (although Tess really impressed me this week).
