Got a parking ticket in Bart parking Lot.

They wrote my LIcense plate as MI for Michigan instead of MS for Mississippi with my license plate number. What are the chances they figure out that I'm registered in MS if I don't pay the ticket. Anyone know a parking enforcement officer?

Shut up and pay the ticket.

Think you should probably skip town and head up to michigan

Actually the only thing that is making me want to pay the ticket is thinking of the poor sap in MI with the same license plate numbers as myself and the headaches it would cause him.

Wait, so they wrote the ticket to a vehicle they thought was from Michigan, not MS?
If they wrote the ticket in error, which it sounds like they did, they don't have a leg to stand on. They wrote the ticket, the law enforcement officer. Is it a simple mistake, sure. However, it is a mistake nonetheless. The state's name is right on the license plate.
It's their screw up. Not yours.
"Oh, I meant to say it was Mississippi."
"Then why did you write it as Michigan?"
I wouldn't blow it off but I would point that out. Even if you have to go to court. You'll get the whole thing thrown out, more than likely.

Yeah I have Mississippi License plate and they wrote the ticket in California for my plate number with a state of Michigan. They don't have in person hearings you have to dispute it online.

If they wrote the ticket to a license plate in the wrong state, they messed up.
That sounds like what they did, correct?
Having hearings in person and whatever doesn't matter. They wrote ticket to some vehicle (and a driver) in another state, not yours, I think I'm reading that right.
The person is Michigan has no knowledge of this ticket. Thus, it would have to be thrown out.

Okay, I'll ask. How do you get a parking ticket in a parking lot?
seems like it would be a target-rich environment for that sort of thing, easy to avoid

Wtf is Bart parking lot

There is permit only parking from 4am-10am in a part of the lot. All other spots were full so I went and parked in the permit side at 950 so I wouldn't be late for work....

I got you I thought you meant you were on out of state student at LSU and got a ticket in Hart Lot on campus. My advice would have then been to just pay the ten bucks

Part of me laughed.
The other part wishes to because dick.
Soooo.... language evolves over time. The "on versus by" debate has lost quite a bit of footing in the last ten years.
Much like the words "all right" have become "alright," it's... I'm too sleepy to explain.
Point is, don't be a grammar nazi.
