I've had two and they were great until the batteries would no longer hold a charge. I'm a lazy frick and hate housework so I'm the perfect target market for these things. I absolutely loved both of the ones I had but the battery thing is a fatal flaw. Both of them also had issues climbing back up onto their charging stations but I could live with that if the batteries lasted longer.
I have heard the new models addressed battery and charging dock issues.
However, I am worried a roomba in my house would get full in 3 minutes from dog hair. Thats the only think holding me back from buying one.

If that's true then I might have to give them one more try.

If you have hardwood floors and run it often so that the hair doesn't pile up, I think you'd be ok.

Had the same issue, bought a Neato brand because it has a stronger vacuum and we've been very happy.

This. My dog can be a workload. I know it can ride itself back up and dock when it gets full, but I feel like I would be unloading that thing every 20 minutes.
