As has been pointed out repeatedly, he is as wrong as the Creationist parent who said, "Evolution is not taught in the Bible so it shouldn't be taught in the class."

Making a broad and absurd comparison such as this doesn't help your argument. Its hard to discern what exactly you are arguing to begin with. You believe evolution should be taught in schools, but don't like the term "unifying" applied to it. Is that it?
