I got a dumb question

whats the easiest, smartest, best, way to figure out the tongue weight on a boat? I bought the boat second hand and the trailer was bought for the boat 5 years after the boat was made. the original owner had the boat on a lift and the guy i bought it from trailered it.

See if you can pick it up?

ETA: the tongue weight will be determined by how the boat sits on the trailer. The more forward the boat is on the axle the heavier the tongue weight.

Park boat where you skin deer

Pick up tongue of boat with deer skinning rope and deer scale (assuming you kill deer bigger than the tongue weight of your boat)

what i think most people are missing is my tongue weight on that boat is well over 300lbs probably closer to 5 to 600 if not more. the typical scale tricks as much as i appreciate the input are not going to work.
