Time for atrazine to knock down spurweed before it forms the dreaded stickers later on in the year.

Looks like everything that I would have suggested has been mentioned, but I'll reiterate:
-Water
-Turfbuilder in mid-late spring and then again mid-summer
-Raise your blades can't be stressed enough, too many people lower them so damn far so they don't have to cut as often. But if you want a good healthy lawn, you should cut once a week.
-Healthy lawns are the best weed killers.

You're all crazy. As long as my yard isn't muddy, and my daughter doesn't get lost in the weeds, I'm good.

I just get one of the farmhands to run the bushhog through our yard once a week

Less is more. Don't get all sucked into the spaying of shite all year long for the different seasons. The grass will do what it's supposed to do. Like another poster said, raise your blades....it will help your lawn be thicker and more plush.

I'd wait to put down weed n feed.
This could be true, but pushing through thick st. aug is a bitch. I think it looks better when its short.
