I think Curry is more like an elite #2 player.

I just find it hard to believe your center piece can be a 6 foot tall jump shooter.

Not saying Curry isn't good, just don't know about him being the center piece.

Respectable and understandable argument. I also don't know how curry is on defense. He's just one of my favorite players. So I could retract his name

This. Allen Iverson is the only guy I can think of that would fit that bill.

A true NBA centerpiece has to be a 4, 5, or an absurd 3, period.

For example, Kobe is an elite SG, but no team built around him has ever done shite.

The answer right now is LeBron James for what he did in Cleveland and possibly Dwight because of what he did in Orlando. The next closest player to a true centerpiece is AD, IMO.

Who's averaging 9 assist a game. He's not just a jump shooter

I'd add Westbrook, kevin love, possibly Aldridge

I disagree. Curry is a center piece. A lot of people look at Curry and just think "well hes just a shooter / scorer and doesnt bring much else to the table". Which is just wrong. He came in as a shooter, not denying that, but hes evolved into 1 of the best PGs in the league. Averages 9 assists per game this year.

And usually with shooters, they arent that efficient. Curry is. Hes shooting 46% from the field and 41% from 3. And shooting like 17 shots from the field and 8 3s a game.

Early on in his career, im not sure I would say hes a center piece. But today, he is. Arguably the best PG in the game right now IMO.

And hes 6'3 btw.
