What things does he need before it can be done?
No stupid answers please. Really need some info.

Yes. That's him. I know I need to get his hips, eyes, and ears certified, but I don't know what else needs to be done.

Where'd you get him?
Make sure you are allowed to breed him.
Some kennels only offer limited registration which restricts breeding. Obviously you can still breed, but the litter will not be registerable.

Read up on this and have your dog tested
If you are going full bore and want to have all the other test done you might as well have this one done.
Has your dog achieved any titles in Field Trial, hunt test, or other competitions?
The only reason I ask is normally if someone spends the time and money to have all these test done they have a dog that has achieved some level of competency that gives potential pup buyers a sense of confidence that the pups are out of "good" stock. This is not to say your dog isn't "good" it is simply another title to draw interest.

Got him from bear creek on the bayou. I can breed him with no limitations. He has his seasoned title. Was going to get his finished but didn't have time with work getting in the way.

Look into breeding him through artificially insemination. Less chance of diseases being passed and less chance of injury during the coital tie. I bred my female through A.I.

He should of worn gloves. In hogs it's called the "gloved-hand" technique when collecting. Just got to hold on for the ride

It's one thing if it was needed for their survival, but its not. Let the bitch do her job
