he blew it in 1941 in the Phillipines and kept that idiot Willoughby as his Intel staffer...

why did he leave 6 months worth of ammo in Manila to be blown up?

why was the Air Force still on the ground when he knew Pearl Harbor had been attacked?

where where the supplies for the Battan Peninsula?

admittedly brilliant with the post-war government of Japan, but he made some really major mistakes early in the war...
