re: New Orleans or Atlanta

Los Angeles has a reputation as being a difficult place to like on a visit, but after living here it's easier to love. I think that the theory is that anything that you could ever want can be found here, but often in locations so far apart that you can't experience them on a visit. I disagree with this characterization, but that's what many think.
