You haven't seen many Glock vs. 1911 debates then.

I agree about the size. I bought a 1911 thinking I'd carry it and quit because it was to bulky. Thats also why I decided to replace it with the Shield. That's what got me thinking about this thread. I've got a gun that holds the same number of rounds that seems more acceptable, and some people's only reason for hating the 1911 was capacity.

It would take forever to dig it up with this site splendid search function, but I promise, that argument has been made numerous times in the Glock vs. 1911 threads.

I wouldn't say a 1911 is necessarily "bulky" as bulky implies width/girth ( love that word).

I don't carry a 1911 because it's heavy. If you compare it side-by-side to a Glock, the Glock obviously has the "bulky" part in spades. But the 1911 does weigh considerably more.

So, a single stack 9mm has less width than the already-thin 1911, holds as many or more rounds, and is easier to carry than a bulky Glock - sounds like a winner.

Oh I believe you. I just don't recall ever seeing that.

I don't get into those debates except to poke fun at King now and then. Picking on King is like an indoor sport here. I like to razz bapple about his vids too but they're jam up.

Reason I don't get in those other debates is that I'm no expert on guns. I understand different people have different needs. I think most recognize there are several "good" dependable brands as well as the "Taurus/Hi Points" to stay away from. Course, sometimes budgets are part of individual "needs" so maybe I shouldn't say that. *wink*
