Be sure to be there for him offering comfort in any capacity every step of the way. The cancer fight is brutal for everyone involved. Nothing about it is fair and there is no way you can explain it. EJW never used tobacco in his life and this type of cancer killed him. It still does not make sense two and a half months later, and I'm sure it never will.

This is what I plan on doing. We have seen each other every day for the last 40 years. He's a tough old bird though and if anyone can fight through it,it would be him. It's just hard to believe out of all my family he would be the one to get cancer first.

I had leukemia like they never called it true Leukemia at 17 which went into remission and then blood related cancer Lymphoma Burkett's Like Symptoms at 31 and now I am in my late 40's in remission. I thank God for the time I had on earth.

I been through the ups and downs.
Been told I would be dead more than I care to hear it.
Had good days and bad days while in treatment.

Best advice I can give is enjoy the time you have your Uncle and respect his decision on his treatment if he choses treatment.
