I'd definitely send it back to Benchmade. Unless it was "abused" (as in used like a crowbar
), it has a lifetime warranty. Heck, you can even send Benchmades back for free sharpening, for the life of the knife. Surely they'll make good on one that broke.

I've thought about doing that a few times. I think they also change the bushings in the handle.
