2014 Class - Commit with most upside

Out of all the 2014 recruits, which one do you see having the most potential upside. I know Jarvis was a 5* coming out of high school but remember reading how Odell really started turning heads before the start of the 2011 season. Yes, we know LF will come in and most likely start day one but which recruit do you think the coaches will coach up to be a stud?
I really think Malachi has the most potential to really have an impact in the near future.Yes, he was #17 nationally but JC ran the ball the majority of the time. I believe Cam is going to turn him into an absolute monster and think he is really going to have an impact this upcoming season.
August 31st can't come soon enough!
Who you got?

Chi and Quinn are actually really polished for how young they are. I don't think looking at those guys you'd say, "with a lot of work, they'll be good." They're already pretty damn good.
As far as true "upside" is concerned, I'd say Sione.
He comes in as a 3* guy. Not a lot of buzz surrounding his individual play. But the guy has good feet, a nice frame and a nose for the ball.
If he can put on 15-20 lbs, he could be a great pass rusher.

John Battle..track athlete frame to add weight with his speed and punch already. He also can cover like a corner from the Safety position

Jacory Washington gets overlooked, he could be the best TE in the country before he leaves LSU

I don't really think of a 5-star elite national recruit (Dupre) as having the most upside.
I will go with Chark. Quiet recruit with one other big offer (Oklahoma State) but I liked what I saw of his talents. At first I did not care for his offer because I don't follow cenla much at all but he won me over. He has skills.

Sorry this is kinda fun to look back so I'm gonna slightly hijack your thread and pick a player from each class year (not including last year, too early to tell):
2012: Jalen Mills
2011: Terrance Magee
2010: Alfred Blue
2009: Morris Claiborne
2008: Lavar Edwards, Patrick Lonergan (tie)
2007: Josh Jasper
2006: Kelvin Sheppard

Harris will win the heisman as a RS Sophomore.
He'll have 3rd year Washington, Dupre, and Quinn. Fournette, Brossette, Guice (possibly) and Williams all 2 or 3rd year in the backfield. Almost everybody on the OL will have had a year's worth of starting experience.
Just thinking about it is crazy. If we can develop continuously on defense then this haul that we got this year and last year, will be at it's peak in 2016. Expect 2015-2017 as playoff years.

It's all in how you define "upside."
It's kind of inherently messy when talking about HS to college players.
For example, Leonard Fournette has comparatively little "upside" when it comes to actual production on the field. There's very little chance he posts the numbers he did in HS at college or the NFL.
Now, can Leonard Fournette get better? I think so.
Now, Malachi Dupre, he's got a ton of upside production wise, since he was in such a run-oriented attack. His HS production was modest, but his physical package is elite and should result in major numbers in a more passing friendly environment.
But I'm gonna go with Davon Godchaux. Godchaux is built like a brahma bull. Seriously, he looks like a man:
He's so naturally thickly built. And he's explosive. I'm hoping he doesn't lose much from the knee injury, because I think this guy can be an All-American candidate at DT if healthy.

Easily the kicker. His name is Gamble

T. Valentine... that quickness with his size is scary.

As far as UPSIDE, I really like J. Washington... To me, he looks and plays alot like Mike Evans from TexAM. IF he actually plays like Evans or Jimmy Grahamish I hope CAM adjusts our TE play to more of a split out TE.
As for immediate IMPACT player from an incoming Freshman, I think we're THIN at Guard and WR... So I see Brum or Clapp making an Impact and J. Wash, Quinn, or Dupree at WR. Yes, I said Wash at WR even though I know he is listed at TE.
Obviously, this will all change after SPRING when guys go down or when one of these guys really shows out.
Geaux Tigers!

I think it's Harris. The competition at his position will make him better. His position coach is Cam Cameron. He will bulk up and still be dangerous as a dual threat because of his athleticism. He will be throwing to NFL caliber receivers and his arm strength will allow him to make all the throws.

Upside, implies potential over current status to me.
To that end, I looked at the lower end of the 4-star and 3-star recruits.
LMFAO, Battle, Gage and Alexander leap out here, as the number of other, more highly regarded players we have at those positions make these players get lost in the shuffle, IMHO.
Out of those, I really think Battle is going to turn some heads. Could be that next great nickel we've been looking for.

Devin Voorhies will be a very great tiger he may not have the most upside but I believe he will develop into a great safety for LSU

Valentine and Godchaux IMO... especially Godchaux.
Godchaux has DT size with DE athleticism. And already is built like an SEC DL. If he can come back full strength... he will be a MONSTER.
Valentine is just a freak. That big and freakishly quick off the ball.
If we can use him right... Upchurch could be a monster as well.
And I expect Dupre to be great for us. Best WR prospect to come out since AJ Green / Julio Jones year IMO.

Do people not understand what upside means?
No one has a higher ceiling than Fournette. You could maybe make a case for Dupre
