1/ Payroll withholding. Eliminate it and make people write checks for what they pay. More transparent.

More transparent? Look at your paystubb. Its got the numbers you're looking for on it. I'm not really sure what could be more transparent than telling you exactly what is withheld down to the penny in the same document that your check comes in (or that acts as a receipt for direct deposit. You aren't asking for more transparency - you're asking for more paperwork.

By your logic, checks themselves aren't 'transparent' - employers should pay everyone their entire paycheck in pennies, that way its more 'transparent' because the employees will have a more tangible feeling of their earnings.

You have no clue.

I cannot tell you how many times employees have told me they don't pay taxes, they get free money every year!

Second, one cannot miss what they never had. Because they do not see their bank account being drained periodically, it's like they never earned it. They did. It's their money. And it's being taken.

Nope. As a business owner, it would vastly reduce my paperwork burden. Why should I have to bear the burden of my workers tax filing? I'm not a collection agency.

Its funny though, your b*tching about added paperwork is exactly what I mean about increasing transparency... That burden fully exists, but is hidden from you... Thanks.
