I'll be ditching TV myself when I move coming up, WatchESPN/ESPN3/Hulu/Amazon is all I need/want and is significantly cheaper. I've just about quit watching TV outside a couple of shows, mainly just sports now. WatchESPN/3 will take care of that, and I already own NHL GameCenter and MLB Extra Innings for my main sports watching anywhere and on anything

You act like this is the majority of the population, when in reality is a very very minute sample. and isn't the market MS gives 2 shits about. I know you'll throw out some bullshite stat or something you've read on some forum you won't link, then ditch the thread like it disappeared, but again before you go.....you're making arguments to fit your point of view and not seeing the bigger picture.

Nah, this thread is about the future not present, the amount of people ditching cable/satellite continues to grow and will only do so more as time goes on.

If they get net neutrality then they launch their own TV service.
Sony is already one step ahead of them in that department, having already signed Viacom to a Live TV streaming deal.
Streaming is definitely where it's at going forward.
