WOW! great article by Jim Engster on Tiger Rag.
LINK
It is not beyond the realm of possibility for Fournette to become the first LSU back to surpass 2,000 yards in one season and for LSU to reign as national champion with the first 15-win season in NCAA history. The next step will be to change the Ole War Skule acronym to LFU.

wow, carroll is greater that the short guy.
Pete Carroll no stranger to Tiger Stadium
Seattle Seahawks Coach Pete Carroll directed his team to a 43-8 Super Bowl demolition of Denver and Peyton Manning last Sunday in New Jersey. Carroll is a decade removed from the controversial 2003 NCAA campaign when his USC team was voted the national championship from the Associated Press and LSU won the BCS title with Nick Saban hoisting the crystal trophy in the Superdome.
Carroll remains in competition for coaching supremacy with Saban, who at 62 is 46 days younger than the effervescent leader of the Seahawks.
Coach NCAA Record NFL Record Total Record Championships
Nick Saban 165-57-1 (.743) 15-17 (.469) 180-74-1 (.709) 4 NCAA
Pete Carroll 97-19 (.836) 77-61 (.558) 174-80 (.685) 2 NCAA, 1 Super Bowl
Carroll joins Jimmy Johnson and Barry Switzer as the only coaches to win Super Bowl and NCAA crowns, and he has done something at Tiger Stadium that Peyton Manning, Herschel Walker, Bo Jackson and Joe Namath never did. Unlike the four SEC luminaries, Carroll actually played against the Tigers in Baton Rouge as a defensive back for Pacific.
In 1972, LSU opened its season at home against Pacific in a battle of Tigers. LSU prevailed 31-13 as Bert Jones opened his senior season nine days past his 21st birthday. Carroll celebrated his 21st birthday the night before the contest on Sept. 16, 1972. LSU entered the game ranked No. 1 by Sports Illustrated.

i mean, i've always been a saban fan but given carroll just won the SUPER BOWL i would say that at least for now the 'competition' is over.

I'm confused as to what Fournette and Carroll have anything to do with each other
Posted on 2/10/14 at 11:21 am to blackjackjackson
Last time I checked Caroll has ZERO NCAA championships. He has an AP championship, which doesn't mean shite in the BCS era, and he has a BCS championship that got vacated.
Nick Saban is obviously the better cheater here!

I don't work for tiger rag, but this whole column was interesting to me and I didn't want to start 4 posts.
lf for h. two fbs. ns failed in the nfl! great lsu qb's. pc played in dv.
etc etc etc

Yep. They need to recalculate using the vacated wins and championship.
Also, two heismans for Carrol, one for Saban.
Palmer, Leinart, Ingram.

There's pretty much zero chance that LF rushes for 2000 yards. Les isn't about to run a freshman into the ground like that.
LF might be the guy but he's still going to split carries to some extent.
