It sucked. Needed some savory food. I bought $10 in tickets and gave away $5.

There was one bakery that had a line of 50+ people. I didn't even try to get in line.

I thought it was a nice event, but being the inaugural, obviously they'll learn some things.

1) Need more beer tents.
2) NEED MORE SAVORY FOOD! I know it's a king cake fest, but savory food is still needed. The lines for the 2 food trucks were outrageous.

The lines were long, but I found that they moved pretty quickly...even the 1 line that was NUTS. I was thrilled that I waited in that line, because they had a crawfish bread type "king cake" and it was delicious.

I was not impressed at all with the king cakes. I only ate 3 that I thought were good, and I probably tried about 13-15.

The good ones were...

Nonna Randazzo (regular)
Gerald's Donuts (cream cheese filled)
Carotzzo's (crawfish)

I did hear that they had run out of tickets earlier, but they got more by the time I got there. I was there 1-3.

The music was good.
