Honestly, this thread does nothing but feed the TAMU fans.

It does us no good. I understand your thoughts, but it will just attract a lot of TAMU trolls.
I hear you. However, in the land of sports, some memes spread like wildfire without much analysis. The idea that a top WR should go to Texas A&M rather than LSU is just one of them. The myth that a wide open offense helps a top WR's production is . . . a myth. In CCC's system, LSU's top WR had more receptions than A&M's top WR. LSU's top two WRs had more receptions, yards, and TDs than A&M's top two WRs.

A wide open offense like Sumliin's helps the bottom rung receivers. They get more targets, more yards, more TDs. So if a player plans to be a bottom rung receiver, he should go to A&M.

There's no reason for a top WR to go to A&M over LSU. But there are a lot of reasons for a top WR to go to LSU over A&M.

Not really.

A good receiver will shine in either offense

Other than maybe A&M fans, who is saying top WRs should go to A&M over LSU or any other top program?

Again, other that fans of a certain team, who is saying this? Evans and OBJ had pretty similar numbers. Any offense other than a straight option a good WR can put up good numbers with competent QB play.

Now you are just being a biased fan. A top WR can flourish in either offense, so it boils do to what the kid wants. The state of Louisiana produces plenty of quality WRs and LSU has had success recruiting WR from out of state. We'll always have good WR, that's all that should matter to LSU fans.
