I don't think you've followed this story very well

The police officers set up a no-knock raid that was totally unnecessary and the guy shot the cop that set it up in self-defense

edit: In other words, God Bless America for still allowing people to defend themselves from certified Thug POSes even if aforesaid Thug POSes are cops

I hate, hate, hate the fact that a deputy was killed. But this is something I am concerned about:

I have a hard time seeing how this could not have been a more normal warrant-and-arrest. No-knocks are DANGEROUS, both because of officers' mistakes and the frightened response of the residents. I really do believe they should be used more sparingly.

God Bless America for not punishing a man for protecting his family from a thug, simply because that thug was a cop.

I stated earlier, it is a shame that the cop died. But if it was going to be a cop or the person the cop broke in on, I am glad it was not the person that was in their own home.
