Several people don't have access to these. The library provides a great community service, also for hard to find books.

The local library system here has teamed up in a 5 parish area and you can actually rent ebooks from their online service as well as MP3 music and books on tape. Also, if you go into any of the libraries in these 5 parishes you can rent from them. No need to be restricted to your local parish library only. It's pretty nice.

My local one also rents out tablets and laptops for a week at a time to people that otherwise might not have access to such things. It's great for kids that might need them for school work but their families can't afford them.

A guy that works for me goes and checks out DVDs all of the time since he cut the cord on cable. They have all of the latest movies and TV series.

Pretty awesome IMO.
