Most anything that promotes scholarly learning is a good thing, but I'm afraid that sometimes it's throwing pearls before swine.
There are many aspects of modern culture which are anti-learning and it's a shame.

Why does our society seem to care so little about learning and knowledge? I never have understood that. People only care about 3 things:
1: The game is on.
2: McDonalds has BigMacs.
3: There's cold beer in the fridge.
I remember when Neil Armstrong passed away it was damned near impossible to fine anything on it.
If it's not about Kim Kardashian's latest bowel movement then no body cares.
