I edited my previous post but you prolly didn't see it so I'll repost.
The Jordan thing wasn't even an NCAA issue it was an Athletic Dept. issue with their Adidas contract. Apples and Oranges.
I understand the concern that it might be an NCAA issue (even though I disagree) but it is nothing like the Jordan case.

Read this article.
Yes, as far as we know, Fournette has no hand in the company so it's slightly different, but again, this just seems like an unnecessary risk.

They couldn't wear the shoes because their school was sponsored by Adidas. It had nothing to do with their last name. Just like Shaq used to get fined for covering the Nike symbol on his uniform since he was a Reebok guy.

It may seem risky, but I'm confident LSU will stamp it out with the quickness if they think there are compliance issues.

I'll ask this question again, what happens if he flashes the BugaNation hand sign after a touchdown on national TV?
It's now tied to merchandise that the NCAA is not making any money off of. No way they would allow that.

honestly if its his parents, its prob a no-no too.

I read that one.
This is why I said I understand the concern but I disagree that its a problem. Specifically because I'm sure that the BUGA company isn't in LF's name (probably one of his parents). So I can see how this would cause concern. But I still maintain that it is nothing like the Jordan case (shich wasn't even an NCAA issue but a contract issue).
Regardless, I'm sure that our compliance department is on top of this. Nothing to see here.

Considering that the only reason they will make money off of this is because of their son, yep.

What is the difference when keiland and and trindon would do the "u can't see me" after a touchdown, even though that was property of wwe and John cena with t-shirts and hats?
Posted on 1/30/14 at 6:29 pm to Broski
I'm not a fan of it, but if it's legit, which LSU will clarify before he takes a snap, get what you can get.

NCAA looking into it, they've hired Tuscaloosa law firm Louis, Nicholas and Saban to write a summary recommendation as to how to handle it.

I actually did not know that was tied to wrestling.
If I had to guess, the difference would be that they weren't related to the wrestlers selling the merchandise.

Or when Jordan Jefferson (and countless other athletes) do the "Superman". Marvel Comics was profiting from that, no?
Seriously y'all are getting ridiculous.

Did JJ have relatives that work for Marvel?
Do you not understand that Fournette CREATED the #BugaNation thing?

Doesn't Twitter have the buga hand side for an emoji

This thread is starting to get a touch derpy

I was being sarcastic. That's why I ended the post with "Y'all are being ridiculous". Your reading comprehension sucks. Do you not understand sarcasm?
