If the administration truly cared about lowering "gun violence" (which should just be called "violence" without obsessing over the tool) then they would pose REAL solutions to lower it.
What are some of the largest root causes of violence in general?
1. Poverty
2. Lack of education
3. Trafficking of drugs/women (or any "black" market with a high degree of risk)
These are some of the ROOT causes as to why those choose to coerce others by use of a firearm. So rather than focus on the problems that are difficult to solve they obsess over the tool to please peoples' emotions and make them think they are doing something.
If they truly cared about gun control, they would actually try to fix the "wild west" that happens every day in Chicago. I would assume Chicago is actually considerably worse than the wild west really was. It is an absolute war zone.
And you think the administration isn't racist? More young black males are murdered by young black males than any other ethnicity. But when a bunch of little white children are gunned down in Newtown, THEN there's a problem and we hear about it? The race baiting of this administration is absolutely staggering.
You see what I mean? They exploit a problem for political gain. If the problem is a common occurrence (like deaths in Chicago's slums) then it is only publicized and sensationalized when they need to push an agenda. That is why they only talk about this city when pushing for gun control. The rest of the small stories of shootings are swept under the rug since they are just another day in the murder capital of America.
Can you name any of the shooters at the Mother's Day shooting in New Orleans? Oh, you forgot about it? Probably because it hasn't been sensationalized by the media and plastered in our minds forever.
