I havent looked into it that much but my gripe is more with the crop subsidies than the conservation stuff.

You have to cut the trees when it expires?

There is a little more to it than what I posted but the agreement is basically saying I will not molest, cut, destroy any property that has been planted for an agreed upon number of years. I feel like it is worth something because I will be losing revenue from that property. The upside is it grows monster deer and one day the trees will belong to the landowner.
