Me neither, had never even heard of The Witcher or The Witcher 2. No clue even what it is still, some kind of olden days Skyrim type big arse open world game I think.

Looks amazing and I'm definitely getting it.

IDK if those games had been released on consoles, that is part of the reason most gamers haven't heard of The Witcher series.

The Witcher series has always been one of the more graphically intense games with great mechanics and storyline. Only issue I ever found with Witcher 2 was the mechanic/gameplay in "jumping" and "climbing". Hope they have fixed this with the third installment.

That is because it was never on playstation.

Not open world like Skyrim. It is open in some parts but nothing like Skyrim. Skyrim is crazy big.
Although the new one is supposed to be way more open.

It is much more story driven and scaled when it comes to fights. You won't be one shot killing things later in the game.

LOL. No. newfag.

Witcher 2 can actually look really nice on a high end pc. Graphics have always been the selling point for this game. It's a harder RPG with a branching story similar to Mass Effect. It's not quite as open world as Skyrim, but it's certainly not linear. I wouldn't play 3 until you've at least played 2.

ETA: I also seriously doubt 3 will be friendly to those who missed out on the first two. Based on how 2 ended, I don't really see how it could be. Too many of your choices in 2 dictate how 3 will start. It's literally the difference of entire kingdoms existing or not.
