Have there been instances of presidents in the past being a little less than honest when addressing the nation? Do they get called out on it?

No. Obama is the first president to lie in a national address. He is a Marxist who plans to take complete control of the federal government by 2016. Concurrently, the National Guards of the various states will be "federalized" and will begin the confiscation of all privately owned firearms. A state religion will be established and named Barackism. Word is that Al Sharpton will be appointed to head the new religion and insure that it is implemented through indoctrination in public schools in all fifty states, the District of Columbia and the Virgin Islands. Most private industry will be nationalized and stock ownership will be transferred to the "people" (the federal government). In the meantime, Obamacare will be converted to single payer insurance, and the death panels will not only mandate euthanasia of all Republicans over the age of 65, but will also oversee the abortions of most white male unborns.

Other than that, he was pretty straightforward tonight.
