Anybody have a good recommendation for a good vet in Baton Rouge? Preferably one that hunts. Puppy is due for his second round of shots and I've been looking around for a decent vet. Thanks in advance.

If you just need shots AVS on green well is good and very affordable. Stay away From LSU vet school unless it's a legit emergency or your vet tells you to head over there.

Kleinpeter is the best vet in BR hands down, it is also probably the most expensive.

My daughter in New Roads. And yes, she is a hunter, outdoor woman.

Oh, she takes care of my dogs. One of them is 15 years old now and he still thinks he is a pup.

My dad works part time here as an emergency vet. It easily has the nicest facilities in Baton Rouge. They even have two backup diesel generators in case of a power outage. They are very well equipped.

This, but it can be like the EKL of veterinary hospitals, and the wait can be a little long. However, I have no complaints about the care my pets have received from AVS. I use Dr. Kleinpeter on Barringer-Foreman Road. No the cheapest, nor most expensive, in town, but awesome staff.
