Why the frick did CJJ go away from the press???

The idea is that no team can play a full game, or even long stretches, with that intensity. You saw how gassed Coleman got. Some teams in history have developed that style and sustain it, but very few. Basically you press like that for stretches to attempt to get back in the game when you are behind. If you succeed, you back off and reserve some energy for the offensive side.

Its not necessarily bad coaching. Its his scheme.

How did that work out for us?

Discipline in every facet of the game is something this team lacks

-the completely wide open 3's for bama lost this game
-the poor FT shooting lost this game
-short arse guards that can't do anything besides swing the ball around the outside lost this game
-stupid turnovers lost this game

that is where our bench comes in. They aren't great but when you have a team on the verge of collapsing the bench players can be better than usual.

But look at how many easy baskets the press bought us. Bama had no answer for it either... I would have kept the foot on the gas
